Dress: Windsor Vest: Target, Purse: Daily Look

I wore this dress back in November when it was Fall, and now that we are headed straight into winter I wanted to wear it again but styled a little differently. I wore this outfit to The Grove in LA for a Christmas date with my boyfriend. I really wanted to be festive since the The Grove is decorated so beautifully for the holidays! I decided to throw on this faux fur vest, which has pockets and the back is faux furless so it’s not as bulky. I wore some tights but I wanted just a little bit of extra warmth around my ankles so I wore high-knee black socks and scrunched them down. I wore my favorite bib necklace to add some sparkle and bring in some gold-tones to the look. And I needed a pop of color so I went with my purse from daily look (which I scored for a great price during Cyber Monday and it’s on sale right now in case you are interested). It’s the perfect shade of pink and its the perfect size and shape. I am so obsessed! I think this look is great for any festive event you have coming your way, even Christmas Eve or day!

Rose-Patterned Sweater Dress + Royal Blue Mini Satchel

You know how people wonder if love at first sight exist? Well, I’m here to tell you that it does! When I first spotted this dress on instagram I knew I had to have it! The colors are so vibrant and its rose pattern is feminine and timeless. When I received it in the mail I was happy to see its amazing quality! It’s a really thick knit construction, which is perfect for the chillier weather ahead. I paired it with this super bright royal blue satchel. I love its gold-tone hardware, so I went ahead and wore some gold rings and a gold necklace to tie the whole look together. This is one dress that is hard to dress down because it is just so gorgeous, but with booties and loose locks, this is an outfit suitable for casual occasions.

Diivinity is an amazing online boutique owned by a very special friend! Please show her some love!

Heart Graphic Sweater + Fishtail Braid

DSC_2950DSC_2923Other sweaters I like: Leopard HeartBow, Christmas Tree, Panda, French Bulldog, Chambray Shirt: Target, Necklace: similar here, here

This sweater means a lot to me because my grandma bought it for me about a year ago. She LOVES buying me stuff because she insist that everything she buys is on trend or as she puts it “que todas estan usando.” I love how she thought of me when she picked this out. Its bright, fuzzy heart in the center makes such a statement, and it’s cozy too with its thick construction. I usually wear it with jeans and booties, but for the holidays I think layering a button-down shirt underneath is such a great look (with any graphic sweater actually). I topped it off with my favorite sparkly necklace and put my hair in a very imprompto fishtail braid. I tend to get in the same routine with my hair, down with loose curls. Thanks to Pinterest and Youtube I’ve been inspired to try out different braids. I did however, come up with this one on my own so maybe a tutorial will be coming soon?

Layering Dresses + Slouchy Beanie

Chambray Dress from Target: Achieve similar looks with these – One, Two, Three, Black Dress: This one is almost identical to mine! Highly recommend it!!

I’m not gonna lie, I pretty much reach for this dress ALL THE TIME! Hence, why I have worn it already on the blog (and I’m sure this won’t be the last). So when I put on this black dress and my comfy booties, I decided to mix it up a bit. I threw on this chambray dress and to my surprise I fell in love with how it looked. It was like wearing my chambray shirt, but also like wearing a cardigan (lightweight but just enough coverage). I must say, I am obsessed, and I finished off the look with a slouchy beanie and my quilted crossbody bag. Oh, and my Juicy Couture long-chained necklace which has a locked pendant. It is one of my favorite and my sacred jewelry pieces that I got for my birthday one year.

Blush Eyelash Lace Sweater Dress

So I haven’t mentioned where I am working right now and since this dress plays into why I bought it, I thought I would share it with you! In August, I got a job at the Forever 21 Headquarters in Los Angeles as a product description copywriter. I applied on a whim, and didn’t even know what a copywriter was, but it has proven to be a pretty good fit for me due to all my fashion writing experience. It’s an amazing first job after college and I am extremely grateful! I am learning so much and this is just the first stop on my career journey!

On that note, I was describing this dress one day at work and I just fell in love. I waited for it to go online and bought it the second it did. It also comes in black (which I really debated between black and blush), but naturally I went for the blush one. It’s really soft and its eyelash lace trim adds a feminine touch. I kept it a bit casual with short taupe booties, but dressed it up with this stunning statement necklace. If you are looking for a sweater dress that has a special element to it, then I really suggest this one! PS. I wrote the description for this on the site. Click on the link above!
