Dress: Forever 21, Shoes: BP Nordstrom, Socks: H&M, Purse: Jessica Simpson Collection

I fell in love with this dress from Forever 21 because it had such a romantic and feminine feel to it. Since its leans more on the summer side, I wanted to style it for that awkward weather transition into fall. All it took was a slouchy beanie and booties with long socks. I plan on wearing this through winter as well, so make sure to subscribe or follow me on your favorite social channel to see how I style this in a couple months!

It takes a while for Fall to roll into Southern California, but that hasn’t stopped me from wearing my Fall outfits. I actually bought these pants and this top at TjMaxx (both under $25). Not only do I plan on wearing these two pieces throughout the season, but they are just so classic and timeless that I can keep them in my closet for years to come. I must note that I am obsessed with my blue nail polish! It is by Sally Hanson and if you want take a little risk on your nails, I highly suggest this color.

I look forward to showing you more ways to style these plaid pants! I think they are a great buy and you can find them pretty much anywhere! I went ahead and listed a few places above :)

Stripe Shift Dress: 2 Ways + Mixing Prints

Dress: Target (similar here and here ) , Outfit 1: Chambray Shirt (similar) & Bucket Bag: Target, (similar)  Hat: PacSun, Shoes: Sperry Top Sider via Nordstrom Rack, Outfit 2: Socks: H&M, Shoes: BP. Nordstrom, Clutch: Kate Spade

One of the reasons I started this blog was to show everyone how I get the most use out of my clothing. I think people would be surprised to see what little clothing I do own, but the trick is I will where one thing so many different ways that sometimes it appears like I have a lot of clothes. That’s not the case at all. In fact, most of what I do own was bought on sale or just at really affordable places.

I bought this dress at Target in the clearance section (which is by far my favorite sale rack to search regularly). It fits me really loose so I have to wear a belt or something to accentuate my waist. These are two ways I have worn this dress- one totally casual, and one slightly more dressed up. I hope you can draw some inspiration from this! Also, if you have a clothing item that you would like to get more use out of, let me know and maybe I can help!

Ps. Just wanted to highlight that in both outfits I am wearing different prints! I think this is something people tend to stray away from, but when working within the same color palette, mixing prints in one outfit is totally doable!

DTLA: White and Beige

There is something kind of refreshing about wearing neutrals. Since I wear color so often, I tend to forget that wearing two colors, white and beige, can make just a big enough statement as a colorful ensemble. So while visiting Downtown LA this weekend, I put on my trusty white pants, a simple beige long sleeve blouse, and my go-to heels (thank you to chunky heels for being so comfortable). This is an outfit that can be worn throughout the seasons, but wearing neutrals in fall is so crisp and classic.

Since I work full-time during the week, I definitely appreciate the weekends a little bit more. It’s my time to totally relax and get a little fresh air. One of my favorite places to visit is Fashion Island in Newport Beach. Since I live fairly close to the OC, heading out there is only a short 30 min away.

I thought I would show you what I like to wear for those “I want to look put together and cute without any effort at all look” (yes, that’s a look you guys). So here it is, black jeans, which I got from Nordstrom Rack and oh my gosh they are insanely comfortable. A classic striped long sleeve which is something I think everyone needs to have in their closet! Flats, and I am in love with these from an online boutique I discovered while assisting a stylist on a photo shoot one day. They are handmade in Mexico, and since that is where my family is from I was gravitated towards this brand (I think I am going to do a review soon). Oh and if you follow me on instagram, you’ll see that I wear this bucket bag from Target like all the time. Since I do wear it so often, I wanted to do something that would spice it up, so i just tied a blue scarf to the handle viola! Instant cuteness!

What is your “I want to look put together and cute without any effort at all look”? I would love to know!

Oh and how cute is Rocky and his new friend? There is a serious stare-down going on here! Haha
